Half-Day Business Mentoring for Small Business Owners

Get focused one-to-one support and leave with clarity, direction and a practical plan

Sometimes you don’t need another course, a long programme or months of mentoring.

You need space to step away from the day-to-day running of your business, talk through what’s going on and work on one specific problem, objective or opportunity with someone who can help you see the bigger picture.

My Half-Day Business Mentoring Session gives you three hours of focused, one-to-one support to help you work through the issue that’s currently holding you back.

You can bring the confusion, the ideas, the numbers, the plans and the questions.

Together, we’ll turn them into clarity, decisions and practical next steps.

Three hours focused entirely on you and your business

Running a small business can feel lonely.

You’re expected to make decisions about your pricing, marketing, finances, offers, customers and future direction, often without anyone impartial to talk things through with.

Friends and family may be supportive, but they don’t always understand the realities of running a business.

Online advice can give you even more ideas, but not necessarily the right answer for your particular circumstances.

A Half-Day Business Mentoring Session gives you the time and support to stop, think and work through one important area of your business properly.

This isn’t a generic training session.

It’s three hours dedicated to your business, your goals and the outcome you want to achieve.

Is this half-day mentoring session right for you?

This session is designed for small business owners, sole traders and people who are brand new to business.

It could be right for you if:

  • You have a specific problem you need help solving.
  • You have lots of ideas but don’t know which one to focus on.
  • You’re struggling to make an important business decision.
  • You want help understanding your numbers.
  • You need to review your pricing or profitability.
  • You’re unclear about your offers or business model.
  • You need a simple marketing or sales plan.
  • You feel stuck, overwhelmed or unsure what to do next.
  • You want one-to-one guidance but aren’t ready to commit to a longer mentoring programme.
  • You’d like to experience working with me before deciding whether ongoing support is right for you.

You don’t need to have everything organised before you arrive.

You simply need to know what you’d most like help with.

What can we work on during your session?

Your half-day will be built around one clear problem, outcome or objective.

Depending on your business and priorities, we could work on:

Your business numbers

We can review your turnover, costs, pricing, profit margins and owner’s pay so that you understand what the figures mean and what your business needs to generate.

Your pricing

We can look at whether your prices properly reflect your costs, time, capacity and desired income, rather than simply copying your competitors.

Your business model

We can explore how your business currently makes money and whether your mix of one-to-one services, group programmes, memberships, products or recurring revenue is sustainable.

Your offers

We can turn a vague collection of services into clear offers that are easier for customers to understand and easier for you to sell.

Your marketing

We can identify your ideal customer, sharpen your message and create a simple plan for reaching more of the right people.

Your sales and follow-up

We can review your leads, customer journey and follow-up activity so that more conversations turn into enquiries and paying clients.

Your focus and direction

We can sort through all the ideas competing for your attention and decide what matters now, what can wait and what needs to be removed altogether.

A specific opportunity or decision

You may have a new service, event, collaboration, investment or business opportunity you want to evaluate before committing time or money to it.

The aim is not to squeeze every part of your business into three hours.

The aim is to choose the issue that will make the biggest difference and work through it properly.

Proof That Support Works…

I can’t thank Lynne enough for the support she’s given for me in my business. Her knowledge on business growth is fantastic, she always has something super helpful to share. Having been on her retreat, attended 1-1 half-day mentoring and being an active member of the business club, I can highly recommend her support. Nothing is too much trouble and she is so generous with her time and knowledge. Thank you Lynne, my business has grown so much since working with you in 2025!

I had a half-day session with Lynne and arrived with all sorts of ideas buzzing around my head and no idea where to start with any of them.

I went home knowing what to focus on, how to promote it and why this was my best option.

If you want clarity, direction and a whole load of good advice I would recommend you spend half a day with Lynne

James Kearsy

I learned more in 3 hours with Lynne than I had in the previous 12 months.

I had a great idea for a business but lacked the marketing skills and business know-how to get it off the ground.  Lynne helped me figure out who my target market was (it wasn’t who I thought it was), what my USP is, what my pricing structure needed to be and I went home feeling more confident about my business and what I needed to do next.

If you are struggling along alone in your business I would recommend spending half a day with Lynne.

What happens during the half-day?

Before the session, I’ll ask you to tell me what you want to work on and what you’d like to have achieved by the end of our time together.

This helps us arrive with a clear focus.

During the three-hour session, we will:

  1. Clarify the problem, objective or decision.
  2. Review what is happening in your business now.
  3. Identify the gaps, challenges or opportunities.
  4. Work through the relevant numbers, ideas or options.
  5. Make clear decisions.
  6. Create a practical action plan.

You won’t leave with pages of theory that never get looked at again.

You’ll leave knowing what you’ve decided, why you’ve decided it and what you need to do next.

What you will leave with

The exact outcome will depend on what we choose to work on, but you can expect to leave with:

  • Greater clarity about your business.
  • A clearer understanding of the problem.
  • Decisions you feel confident about.
  • A focused set of priorities.
  • Practical actions you can begin immediately.
  • A written plan for moving forward.
  • More confidence in your next steps.
  • Less noise, confusion and overthinking.

My role isn’t to take over your business or tell you what you must do.

My role is to help you understand your options, challenge the assumptions that may be keeping you stuck and make decisions based on your goals, capacity and numbers.

A practical alternative to trying to work everything out alone

You can spend weeks going round in circles.

You can download more templates, watch more videos, listen to more podcasts and ask more people for their opinions.

But more information doesn’t always create more clarity.

Sometimes it creates even more options and even more confusion.

A focused half-day gives you the opportunity to stop collecting advice and start applying the right thinking to your own business.

You’ll have someone asking the questions you may not have considered, helping you look at the numbers and challenging you when you’re making decisions based on fear rather than facts.

Three focused hours can save you months of second-guessing.

Why work with me?

I’ve supported more than 4,000 new and small business owners through workshops, mentoring, business programmes and one-to-one support.

I specialise in helping small business owners understand their numbers, create profitable offers, improve their marketing and build businesses that can pay them properly.

My approach is friendly, practical and straightforward.

I won’t overwhelm you with jargon or give you a generic plan that doesn’t fit your business.

We’ll focus on what matters, work through it together and create something you can realistically implement.

You don’t have to commit to a long programme

My Half-Day Business Mentoring Session is ideal when you want personalised support but aren’t ready to join my Mastermind or commit to my 12-month mentoring programme.

It gives you the opportunity to:

  • Get help with one immediate priority.
  • Experience my approach to mentoring.
  • Make progress without a long-term commitment.
  • Decide whether further support would be useful later.

There is no expectation that you must join another programme afterwards.

The session is designed to be valuable as a standalone half-day.

Investment: £500

Location: Worcester – Just off Jct 6 of M5.

Places are limited because these sessions require preparation and dedicated one-to-one time.

Who is the half-day mentoring session for?

The session is for sole traders, new business owners and established small business owners who want focused help with a particular problem, decision, opportunity or objective.

You don’t need to have been in business for a certain amount of time. The session can be adapted for someone developing their first business idea or someone who has been trading for several years.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?

You need a general idea of the area you want help with, but you don’t need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.

Before the session, I’ll ask you some questions about what is happening in the business and what you’d like to achieve. We can use the beginning of the session to clarify the main priority.

Can we cover several areas of my business?

We may naturally touch on several connected areas, but the best results usually come from having one main objective.

For example, reviewing your pricing may also involve looking at your costs, profit margins, capacity and business model.

Trying to redesign your offers, create a full marketing strategy, review your finances and plan an entire year in one session would be too much.

We will agree on the most valuable focus before we begin.

Is the session suitable for someone who hasn’t started their business yet?

Yes.

A half-day can be particularly useful when you’re at the beginning because it can help you test your idea, identify your ideal customer, shape your first offer, review your pricing and decide what needs to happen before you launch.

Do I need to prepare anything?

I’ll send you some questions before the session so that I understand your business and the outcome you want.

Depending on what we’re working on, I may also ask you to bring information such as your prices, costs, sales figures, current offers, marketing materials or business ideas.

Don’t worry if your information isn’t perfectly organised. We’ll work with what you have.

Will you tell me what to do?

I’ll give you honest guidance, challenge your thinking and make practical recommendations.

However, it is still your business. We’ll consider your goals, finances, capacity, customers and personal circumstances before deciding on the right next step.

The aim is for you to leave able to make a confident and informed decision, rather than simply being handed somebody else’s opinion.

Will I receive a plan after the session?

Yes. We will agree clear actions during the session, and you will receive a written summary, plan or completed working document based on what we have covered.

Can the session be held online?

Yes.

If you prefer to have our meeting via zoom just let me know in the booking questions and I will arrange for a zoom link to be sent over to you.

Can more than one person attend?

These sessions are designed for one business owner however a business partner or co-director may attend when working on the same business.

What happens if I need more help afterwards?

The half-day is designed to be useful as a standalone session.

At the end, we can discuss whether you need any further support. This might be another focused session, my Business Club, the S.E.L.L. System® Mastermind or my 12-month one-to-one mentoring programme.

There is no obligation to continue.

How do I book?
